Connecting and Developing Relationships with Russ Johns

@russjohns the host of the Pirate Broadcast, joins @drruth on the eighth Episode of Brain Health: Unchaining Your Pain.
Russ is passionate about connecting and developing relationships and wants to help others that are equally passionate about doing the same thing. From his rollercoaster of a journey to become the wonderfully wise and kind person he is today, Russ firmly believes that kindness is cool, smiles are free and YOU have gifts worth sharing.
After falling three stories whilst working on a billboard, Russ talks about how he was able to overcome his injuries physically and mentally and rebuild the identity that he felt he’d lost. After losing a cousin, his younger sister, and also his son, we talk about the importance of giving yourself permission to grieve.
“Not every day is rainbows and unicorns.”
When life doesn’t go the way you expect it to, he explains you have a choice. To choose pity or purpose, faith or fear, both of which require you to believe in something that isn’t quite in front of you.
“You can do a lot more than you think you can.”
