27. Neena Perez | S2:E7

@neenaperez joins @drruth on the 27th Episode of Brain Health: Unchaining Your Pain and the seventh episode in series 2.

Neena is a coach, entrepreneur, author, speaker, podcaster and chef. She uses all she has been through in her life to encourage and impact lives, one at a time.

In this Episode, Neena shares her powerful story from her traumatic childhood experience of being molested by her stepfather, to one of extreme domestic violence where her life was spared when the safety catch got stuck.

She shares her journey from becoming a mum at 15 years old to be the top student in her graduation class whilst homeless and a single parent, to transforming into the powerhouse she is today.

Neena is a great role model to all those out there who have experienced domestic violence. There is light at the end of the tunnel. You are enough. Believe you can and Just keep going.

“If you struggle to comprehend how far you’ve got to go, acknowledge how far you’ve come, take one step forward and keep going.”

“It’s easy to fail by ourselves; it takes a tribe to be successful.”
