15. Christopher Freeze | S1:E15

Christopher Freeze joins Dr. Ruth Allan on the 12th Episode of Brain Health: Unchaining Your Pain.

Christopher Freeze served as the Executive Director of the Mississippi Department of Human Services during the end of Governor Phil Bryant’s Tenure. Before this appointment, Mr. Freeze served 23 years with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), retiring as the Special Agent in Charge of the FBI’s Jackson Division.

During his tenure, he oversaw all the FBI’s operations and administrative work in the State of Mississippi. Since January 2020 he has dedicated his time to helping leaders succeed by understanding the impact of trauma on trust, embracing trauma-informed leadership to improve trust, and demonstrating how the science of hope can transform trust.

In this episode, we discuss how important trust is in making connections with others, and how adverse childhood experiences and trauma can undermine our ability to make those connections.

Through his service in the FBI during the 911 attacks, Chris provides a very personal and unique perspective of what optimal brain health is and the impact trauma and his work environment had on his brain health.
